Requirements for obtaining a driver's license

If you are under 18 years of age and would like to obtain a provisional driver license, you must:

1. Have your parent's permission
2. Complete 30 hours of Driver Education
3. Pass permit test (must be at least 15 1/2 yrs. old and provide proof of completion of Driver Education and proof of enrollment in Driver Training to obtain permit)
4. Have your permit for at least 6 months
5. Complete 6 hours of Behind-the-Wheel Training, Drivers Training
6. Be at least 16 years old
7. Pass the Drive Test

If you are over 18 years of age and would like to obtain a driver license, you must:

1. Pass the permit test
2. Pass the Drive Test
   • Note that adults must have a learner's permit to practice driving on public streets and highways.
