Requirements for obtaining a driver's license
If you are under 18 years of age and would like to obtain a provisional driver license, you must:
- Have your parent's permission
- Complete 30 hours of Driver Education
- Pass permit test (must be at least 15 1/2 yrs. old and provide proof of completion of Driver Education and proof of enrollment in Driver Training to obtain permit)
- Have your permit for at least 6 months
- Complete 6 hours of Behind-the-Wheel Training, Drivers Training
- Be at least 16 years old
- Pass the Drive Test
If you are over 18 years of age and would like to obtain a driver license, you must:
- Pass the permit test
- Pass the Drive Test
- Note that adults must have a learner's permit to practice driving on public streets and highways.
