a provisional driver’s license, you must:

Must complete a Drivers Education course.

Be at least 15 1/2 years old

Have your parent’s permission

Complete 30 hours of Driver’s Education

Pass permit test

Complete 6 hours of Behind-the-Wheel Training, and receive the Certificate of Completion certificate

Complete 60 hours of supervised driving, 10 hours of supervised driving must be at night.

Have your permit for a minimum of 6 months

Take and pass the Drive Test

For the first 1 year after receiving your driver’s license, you are only allowed to carry passengers under age 20 if someone in the car is age 25 or older with a valid California License.
