Driver Training
(Behind-the-wheel)
Tri-Valley’s Driver Training program consists of 6 hours of professional behind-the-wheel instruction. For your convenience, this course is divided into three lessons, two hours each. Students will learn basic driving skills to operate a motor vehicle safely, and proper driving techniques that will prepare them for the DMV drive test. We offer free home, school, or work pick-up and return (within the same vicinity). Lessons are offered 7 days a week (mornings, afternoons, and evenings).
Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion as required by the DMV. Students will also receive an evaluation form for their parents that will indicate which specific driving task areas may need improvement.
Behind-The-Wheel Training is given in:
Alamo – Blackhawk – Danville – Dublin – Livermore – Pleasanton – San Ramon and other nearby communities.
The rates below are effective 05/18/21 and relate only to the Tri-Valley area. Additional fees may apply if outside these locations.
Fees:
San Ramon Areas:
$165 for one (1) – 2two (2) hour professional driving lesson
$480 for three (3) – two (2) hour Driver Training program
Six (6) hours total
$750 for five (5) – two (2) hour Driver Training program
Ten (10) hours total
Cameron Park– El Dorado Hils – Folsom – Shingle Springs – Rescue – Placerville and other nearby communities.
*Cameron Park Location*
$135 for one (1) – 2two (2) hour professional driving lesson
$390 for three (3) – two (2) hour Driver Training program
Six (6) hours total
$630 for five (5) – two (2) hour Driver Training program
Ten (10) hours total
After a student passes the permit test they should call TVDS to schedule their first behind-the-wheel lesson.**Enroll in our DRIVER EDUCATION / DRIVER TRAINING PACKAGE and save $$$ (see below)**$21* SAVINGS for Driver Education (on-line) and Driver Training (San Ramon location only)*Payments must be received at time of enrollment to qualify for Package rates and may not be combined with any other offers or discounts. * $50 Administration fee for incomplete Driver Education / Driver Training / Refunds. Cancellation of Driver Training (Behind-the-Wheel) appointment(s) must be made 24 hrs. prior to scheduled appt. Failure of 24 hr. notice will result in $40 cancellation fee. ***
We provide free home, work, or school pick-up and return for driving lessons (within the same vicinity).
